AgriVenture is run by the International Agricultural Exchange Association (IAEA), a non-governmental non-profit membership organization which has been operating farm work placements since 1965. Exchange programs in Horticulture, Agriculture, and Home Management are offered in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and Japan. These placements last from four months to over a year. Application requirement is to apply two months before departure, but it is to your advantage to apply early.

BUNAC

BUNAC offers a range of exciting summer camps, work abroad, and volunteer abroad programs. BUNAC is the work and travel expert and has been helping young people work and volunteer abroad since 1962. Opportunities range from the popular Camp Counseling program, Summer Camp USA, and flexible work and travel programs in Canada, USA, Australia, and New Zealand to volunteering/Teaching Placements in Africa, South and Central America and Asia. Programs last from as little as five weeks to as long as two whole years. Participants can take part in a BUNAC program as part of their summer vacation, during a gap year, after graduation, or as a career break.
Camp Adventure Youth Services

Camp Adventure International - UC Davis students and students from CSU Sacramento and California community colleges can become camp counselors or swim instructors abroad, receiving air fare and housing, plus a daily stipend and weekends off for travel. Camp Adventure Youth Services places 900+ college students and recent graduates in both summer and school year youth development and camp counseling programs on U.S. military bases, British garrisons and some U.S. embassies in Europe and Asia.
In 2011, 46 UCD students and 20 CSUS and community college students enjoyed rewarding summer internship in England, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Korea, Japan, Guam, Hong Kong, China, Marshall Islands, Okinawa and the U.S. e.g. Hawaii, Pensylvania & Florida.

Through this program participants can learn innovative problem-solving skills which can be applied to rural and urban health care areas.

The Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) is a global network that disseminates information about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and child rights amongst non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), educational institutions, and other child rights experts. CRIN does not run a formal internship program, but we do work with volunteers. Volunteers come in regularly to help the CRIN coordinating team with various tasks, including: translations, research, and website maintenance. Volunteer posts are unpaid, but travel within London and lunch expenses are covered. If you are a student in law, development, or any relevant field, and can commit to working one to two days a week for a minimum of three months, email your CV and we will contact you of we have any opportunities that match your skills.

CCS volunteer experience will take you to one of 12 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, or Latin America. HIA educates, inspires and connects a global network of students, young professionals and established leaders committed to promoting human rights, diversity and active citizenship- in their own communities and around the world. The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of Fellows to study minority rights and produce original research exploring how and why individuals and societies, past and present, have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values. Separate programs take place for five weeks every semester in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw.

International Language Institute (ILI) in Halifax, Canada offers Cambridge CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults). CELTA is the world's most honored entry-level credential for teaching ESL or EEL. ILI was the first institute in Atlantic Canada to offer language training programs specifically for non English speaking learners. JCHIP-Japan Children's Home Internship Program

We run our own summer internship program in Japan known as JCHIP or Japan Children's Home Internship Program. JCHIP sends UC Davis students to various parts of Japan to participate in the operation of children's homes as ambassadors of international, cultural, and educational exchange. The homes are not quite orphanages, and not quite group homes (there is no English equivalent)-they are institutions where children who cannot be cared for by their parents or relatives are given preparation for productive and successful lives. Together with the Japanese staff and native college-student interns, UC Davis interns will share in the lives of school-age youngsters, doing chores, playing games, and overseeing activities. As an intern from abroad, it is important for the UC Davis student to be a model international representative and help open the children's eyes to the rest of the world. Currently eight children's homes in different parts of Japan accept UC Davis interns. Homes are located in: Kumamoto, Kyoto, Saitama, Tokyo, Fukushima, Aichi (2 homes, Shinshiro and Toyokawa), and Sendai.
JET- Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program

The Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program invites young college and university graduates from overseas to participate in an international exchange and foreign language education program throughout Japan. Positions include Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) and Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs). In cooperation with the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), JET is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; the Ministry of Public Management, and local governments throughout Japan.
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe

With 56 States from Europe, Central Asia and North America, the OSCE is the world's largest regional security organization. The OSCE Internship Program provides a framework for graduate/postgraduate students or recent graduates or postgraduates (within one year of graduation) to develop their professional skills and gain practical work experience in an international environment. The aim of the program is to expose interns to the work of the OSCE and to provide OSCE departments with qualified and specialized assistance in various professional fields. Internships usually last between two to six months.

International Service Learning
http://www.islonline.org/As an international educational agency, ISL organizes medicsl, educational, and adventure teams of volunteers to provide services for the underserved populations of Central and South America, Mexico, Asia and Africa. ISL provides educational opportunities for students from over eighty universities in several countries, but primarily in the United States. It is the goal of ISL to simultaneously provide both educational opportunities for students from developed countries while providing services for developing countries. ISL has education, field biology (zoology, botany, conservation genetics, etc), health, and international service (exploration of foreign countries) internships for students from UC Davis. JCHIP sends UC Davis students to various parts of Japan to participate in the operation of children's homes as ambassadors of international, cultural, and educational exchange. The homes are not quite orphanages, and not quite group homes (there is no English equivalent)-they are institutions where children who cannot be cared for by their parents or relatives are given preparation for productive and successful lives. Together with the Japanese staff and native college-student interns, UC Davis interns will share in the lives of school-age youngsters, doing chores, playing games, and overseeing activities. As an intern from abroad, it is important for the UC Davis student to be a model international representative and help open the children's eyes to the rest of the world. Currently eight children's homes in different parts of Japan accept UC Davis interns. Homes are located in: Kumamoto, Kyoto, Saitama, Tokyo, Fukushima, Aichi (2 homes, Shinshiro and Toyokawa), and Sendai.

JCHIP-Japan Children's Home Internship Program

JCHIP sends UC Davis students to various parts of Japan to participate in the operation of children's homes as ambassadors of international, cultural, and educational exchange. The homes are not quite orphanages, and not quite group homes (there is no English equivalent)-they are institutions where children who cannot be cared for by their parents or relatives are given preparation for productive and successful lives. Together with the Japanese staff and native college-student interns, UC Davis interns will share in the lives of school-age youngsters, doing chores, playing games, and overseeing activities. As an intern from abroad, it is important for the UC Davis student to be a model international representative and help open the children's eyes to the rest of the world. Currently eight children's homes in different parts of Japan accept UC Davis interns. Homes are located in: Kumamoto, Kyoto, Saitama, Tokyo, Fukushima, Aichi (2 homes, Shinshiro and Toyokawa), and Sendai.

Camp Adventure Youth Services

JCHIP sends UC Davis students to various parts of Japan to participate in the operation of children's homes as ambassadors of international, cultural, and educational exchange. The homes are not quite orphanages, and not quite group homes (there is no English equivalent)-they are institutions where children who cannot be cared for by their parents or relatives are given preparation for productive and successful lives. Together with the Japanese staff and native college-student interns, UC Davis interns will share in the lives of school-age youngsters, doing chores, playing games, and overseeing activities. As an intern from abroad, it is important for the UC Davis student to be a model international representative and help open the children's eyes to the rest of the world. Currently eight children's homes in different parts of Japan accept UC Davis interns. Homes are located in: Kumamoto, Kyoto, Saitama, Tokyo, Fukushima, Aichi (2 homes, Shinshiro and Toyokawa), and Sendai.

The internship is offered every semester and summer for graduate students and upperclassmen (juniors and seniors).
Volunteers for Peace
